Many middle class families making between $80,000 & $250,000 a year have an idea about how to help their children get into the school of their choice for college education. Some have even prepared financially by setting aside money in a 529 plan or ESA. But few a prepared to write a check for their children's total cost of a university education, ranging from $120,000 & $360,000 today per child! Fewer still understand the rules of the game today when it comes to reducing the cost of college. That's where we step in.
Through our partnership with Responsible College Advocates and our association with the Heartland Institute for Financial Education, we have agreed to waive our advisory fees in order to provide the counseling necessary to significantly reduce the cost of a university education for families in the US.
We do that through a three step process that begins with a thorough analysis of your goals & current financial situation. Next, we present our findings & recommendations. Finally, we assist you in implementing the plan.
Our process follows our five strategies, including:
1. Identifying the high-gifting schools that can afford to provide upwards of ninety percent of a family's expected family contribution (as determined by their Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA).
2. Guiding families on opportunities to reduce their expected family contribution (EFC) on their FAFSA application in much the same way that you take advantage of deductions & credits to reduce your tax bill when completing your annual tax returns.
3. Helping families qualify for guaranteed "micro-scholarships" which can offer up to $80,000 or one full year of school. These scholarship programs reward your student for the things they they are already doing in school, like earning good grades or participating in extracurricular activities.
4. Counseling your student on practical steps they can take now to become more career ready so that when they graduate, they'll be better positioned to become productive members of society.
5. Advising students & parents on strategies to retire college debt in under five years, rather than the typical ten to twenty-five year repayment schedule.
